About WPA
WPA (Western Provident Association) is a not-for-profit mutual UK private medical insurer, established in 1901. It's the most established alternative to the Big Three (Bupa, Vitality, AXA), with around 100,000 employer schemes and a reputation for personal account management and faster claims handling.
Smaller member base than the larger carriers means tighter focus on customer service rather than volume. Particularly suited to SMEs that want their broker or account manager to know their scheme by name, rather than being one of millions in a call queue.
